At Chantilly Cakes we love baking and cake decorating; more especially we love sharing!
We believe that creativity is a key foundation to effective learning; allowing children to not only enjoy their learning experiences but also to develop confidence in themselves, and confidence in trying new things.
We are also the official sidekicks of Captain Cupcake! Our aim is to support him in his mission to provide fun educational experiences that bring a new dimension to the learning environment.
Dennis is a UK trained teacher (Postgraduate Certificate in Education - Design Technology / Physics from Loughborough University of Technology) and he can work with you to put together an engaging session for your pupils. (Details of Captain Cupcake's offerings can be downloaded here.)
Captain Cupcake doesn’t limit his work to the school day. You can invite him to your child’s birthday to get the partygoers started on their cake decorating adventures.
Each child is able to decorate 2 cupcakes (Captain Cupcake is all about sharing so there is 1 for Mum or Dad!). Depending upon the age group and the time allowed either cut-out fondant shapes and sprinkles are provided for a faster result, or different colours of fondant are provided so that the children can make their own toppers.
Cost:
The cost is R100 per child (a minimum of 6 children) which includes the cost of the cakes and decorating materials.
Additionally a pack of various coloured fondants can be provided for children to take home for R50 per child.
Captain Cupcake’s Kitchen of Cuteness is in Bromhof, Randburg, so, he may need some petrol money if the party is a long way away...
For a less messy (but just as fun!) alternative to cupcake decorating, that will keep the party clothes cleaner, cookie decorating is also available, Captain Cupcake can come with two large iced cookies and the children are provided with a range of coloured edible markers, so that they can decorate the cookies to take home. Each cookie is 9cm x 8.5cm and can either have an outline design which can be coloured in, or blank – leaving the result totally to the child’s imagination (or one of both!). Cookie decorating costs just R105 per child.
